TUTI TUTI: flavors made in Senegal

Tuti Tuti is a Senegalese structure specialized in the production of compotes and desserts based on local fruits for children and adults.

Created by Oumou Diop SY, a young Senegalese woman with more than 15 years of experience in the private sector and in supporting SMEs and entrepreneurship. The genesis of Tuti Tuti stems from Oumou Diop SY’s awareness of the need for more consumption of fruits and vegetables and her decision to devote herself to their processing and distribution.

The staff of Tuti Tuti is composed of technicians and women engineers who take care of the production and the transformation in the respect of the standards of hygiene and quality which requires the food-processing sector. Indeed, all Tuti Tuti products are controlled by the Institute of Food Technology in Senegal.

With a production of 250 jars and 1000 gourds per day, Tuti Tuti markets its products online and by order. This has led the structure to collaborate with Dakar Farmers Market for the promotion of its products as well as Club Thiossane for the popularization of the products through online sales. A distribution model that is increasingly popular with the Senegalese, with the possibility of home delivery.

As part of its development as a small business in the agri-food sector, Tuti Tuti has made a major effort to purchase production machinery to meet demand.

Impacted by the Covid-19, the structure has been able to learn from the instability of the market with a major problem in the supply of quality packaging that is imported from China or Turkey.

In a logic of growth and respect of the highest quality standards, the structure provides standardized and certified products with barcode for the satisfaction of its customers.

Tuti Tuti is a company in full growth that despite some reservations aims to place its products in distribution chains such as Auchan and Carrefour, etc.
