GIE Oumou Mountaga Tall: empowering women through entrepreneurship.
The GIE OUMOU MOUNTAGA TALL has been active in technical training and processing of local products since 2005. Composed of 10 people, the GIE is headed by Fatouma Diop, a woman entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in cereal processing.
She shares her experience with women to encourage them to become entrepreneurs and empowered. Indeed, she wishes to make the out-of-school girls work by giving them a know-how and perspectives beforehand. Accredited by the Office of Vocational Training and in partnership with 3FPT, ANPJ, FAO and LUX DEV, Ms. Fatoumata Diop has trained more than 2000 women since 2005.
The GIE OUMOU MOUNTAGA TALL has set up its production unit in Kounoune and plans to set up a training room as well as all the necessary facilities to welcome women wishing to be trained in entrepreneurship and in the processing of local products.
