Hydrotek services: democratizing access to water.

Hydrotek services is a structure specialized in the rehabilitation of hydraulic works and agriculture.

The idea of creating this structure comes from the observation of the difficulties of access to drinking water in several villages in Senegal.

Winner of the Young Water Solutions prize, Laila Sagnane, a geological engineer who heads Hydrotek Services, is seeking to diversify her service offer by developing a prototype of a modern well that would provide a one-time solution to the problem of access to drinking water. A model that could then be popularized. After researching and studying the Noto Diobass area, the hydrotek services team found that 45 villages did not have access to water due to a broken-down well. The populations were thus obliged to drink water from wells that could sometimes be infected by several foreign bodies.

From there, Hydrotek services wanted to put its expertise to use by building a prototype of a modern well and other related installations for a father of a farmer in the village of Keur mory Fall.
