Sylvie Becker has lived in an international world. She was born in Senegal, spent her childhood in Morocco and her teenage years in Dakar where she graduated with honors before undertaking her university studies in Belgium and the United States.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communication from the Université́ Libre de Bruxelles, an MBA from The George Washington University, and an executive degree in Business Marketing Strategy from Harvard Business School.
Benefiting from a solid experience of more than 20 years in business strategy, and in digital/traditional Marketing/Communication, Ms. Sylvie Becker has specialized in digital finance consulting. She was until 2021, Executive Director of Strategy, Digital, Marketing & Communication and Human Capital at Rawsur Assurances in DRC. With a proven track record in digital financial services and marketing, Ms. Becker has held́ various responsibilities including brand positioning, strategic planning, customer acquisition and development, whether with Citibank in New York, Lloyds Private Bank, Lombard Odier, UBS in Geneva , or Banque Attijariwafa, CBAO in Dakar.
She draws on a solid international experience acquired in the United States, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Africa (Senegal, Ivory Coast, DRC).
She was a professor of strategic marketing for the Master of Banking and Finance at the Institut Supérieur de Formation Bancaire in Geneva and is a lecturer on digital finance topics.
She is very involved in social causes, using her free time to develop financial inclusion, advocate for the homeless, teach financial literacy to troubled teens, support women’s entrepreneurship and raise awareness about autism.
During her professional career, she has developed the following skills:
– Digital banking business plan, corporate strategy, digital transformation, marketing, communication, sales plans;
– Implementation of process planning and development of strategic and operational plans;
– Customer acquisition and development programs;
– Leadership and team management;
– Training and coaching of financial products;
