Professor KAH is the Permanent Representative of The Gambia to the United Nations Office in Geneva.

Professor KAH is the founder and president of a start-up company, Khamsys Technologies, located in Bijilo, The Gambia. Professor KAH was the third Vice Chancellor and the first Gambian to head the University of The Gambia (UTG) (2009-2015), where he also served as Professor of Information and Communication Technology and Supervisor of the Gambia College.

He also served as Vice President for Academic Affairs, Provost and Professor of Information Technology and Computer Science at the American University of Nigeria, Yola, Adamawa State. He also served as Vice Provost for Technology and Innovation and Founding Dean of the School of Information Technology and Engineering at ADA University in Baku, Azerbaijan (2015-2017). He has held teaching and leadership positions in the United States, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.

Professor KAH is passionate about advancing the human condition by strengthening computer science, engineering, science, guiding and leading strategy and innovation and organizations, and providing thought leadership in computer science and information technology education and higher education.

He serves on numerous boards of directors in banking (Zenith Bank-Gambia) and higher education in The Gambia and Nigeria. He is also a member of the Malabo Montpellier Panel and the EuroScience Forum 2018.

He holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and PhD from Stevens Institute of Technology (in Hoboken, New Jersey), one of the top engineering and technology management universities in the US. Professor KAH also holds a master’s degree in financial engineering from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. and a postgraduate diploma (DipSI) in strategy and innovation from the Said Business School at Oxford University.

In addition, he has completed several executive education programs, including the Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) at the Cambridge Judge Business School. In the field of corporate governance, he has completed the highly regarded International Directors Program (IDP) as an internationally certified director (IDP-C) at INSEAD, through its campuses in Singapore and Fontainebleau, France. Professor KAH is also a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) in London, UK.

Professor KAH is a Gambian national.
